SLR Capital, a New York-based private credit asset manager, closed $2.2bn of commitments for its Multi-Strategy Private Credit strategies. The firm provides cash flow finance, asset backed finance, senior secured loans, life science finance, equipment finance and other specialty finance.

The capital raise came from pension funds, insurance companies, endowments, wealth management and family offices. After adding leverage, SLR Capital expects this $2.2bn of equity to translate into $3.8bn of investable capital.

This is an additional piece of data pointing the growing amount of capital becoming available in the private credit markets.
