Blackrock and Partners Group have established a partnership to offer private markets exposure to retail investors.

The portfolios offered will be a mix of private credit, private equity and real assets.

Retail investors allocated $2.3tn to private markets in 2020 – predicted to increase to $5.1tn by 2025 (Morgan Stanley/Oliver Wyman research).

Initiatives by large asset managers to offer private credit to retail is likely to help support the demand side of private credit markets for the next few years.
