Hong Kong has issued US$6 billion in green bonds – in USD, EUR and CNY tranches.

The issue was 6x oversubscribed – with a reported order book of US$30 billion.

The issue helps deepen the USD, EUR and CNY green bond markets.

The proceeds of the deal are to be used for projects that improve the environment and facilitate Hong Kong’s transition to a low-carbon economy.
