DCM Data Calendar This Week – US CPI Expected To Slow, Hawkish Central Bankers, Bank Earnings

The key event this week will be US CPI data on Thursday. This is expected by the market to come in lower. There are also a host of central bank speakers – who are expected to be hawkish to try and prevent markets from becoming too positive and mitigating the effects of rate rises on the economy.

Monday – Fed’s Bostic speaks, BOE’s Pill speaks

Tuesday – Powell speaks, Bailey speaks, US wholesale inventories, UK retail sales

Wednesday – ECB’s Holzman and Vujcic speak

Thursday – US CPI, China CPI. Fed’s Bullard, Harker and Barkin speak

Friday – University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment, Euro Industrial Production, France CPI, Spain CPI, earnings from JPM, BofA, Citi and Wells Fargo
